Taranaki Trip

We've just had a trip up through Taranaki and the King Country. Here are some of the vehicle photos.
AEC Reliance, ex Wellington City was in the middle of nowhere on the Forgotten World Highway.
Apparently it originally belonged to the "President" of the Republic of Whangamomona.

On an early morning walk in misty rain, I snapped this Volvo climbing out of Te Kuiti....

...and then this MAN with the big XXL cab.

At a lunch stop at Urenui, two elderly gentlemen turned up on an outing, in a Bentley......EACH !
One in this lovely 1955  S1 ....

...and the other in this 1992 Turbo R.

Spotted this 1995 GMC Safari in a yard at Bell Block.

The best photo I could get of this bonneted Scania, as I had to poke my camera lens through netting.

More Symons' Scanias. Cab-overs this time.

Low loader.

I prepared for a good snap of this rig coming out of Symons' yard, but he headed the other way !

A mixture of liveries in Hooker's yard at Bell Block.

2012 Kenworth T408.

2010 Sterling LT9500

Hooker's graveyard.

Old 1999 Freightliner FLC 112..

Volvo FMX, is only a month old, doing a morning unload in the pouring rain at the new BP service station at Moturoa, New Plymouth.
This service station replaces an old wooden service station/garage building.

Ex Christchurch Bristol in a yard near Stratford.

2016 Kenworth T409 tipper heading south through Bulls.

2008 Kenworth K104 parked up in Bulls....

...and a 2009 Freightliner Argosy heading south.
